Beyond the ordinary

1. Is your child able to go to the toilet without assistance? (consider a leotard is tricky to get into/out of when a child is very young).
2. Are you confident to have your child in a class without you being present in the studio? (However, you must stay in the building).

We ask parents not to enter the studio during the lesson.  We suggest considering 2 things before bringing your child to ballet:

have over 10 years teaching experience and can say with confidence that the children settle in much faster when the parent is not in the room!  We do run a ‘watching week’ towards the end of term 1 so you can come and watch during that week to see how much they have all learned!

From our perspective, we ask that parents don’t send their child to class until they are confident to go to the toilet by themselves.  The doors in the Parish Centre are heavy and we ask that parents of children in Junior Ballet stay within earshot of the studio in case their child needs to use the toilet.  We ask all parents to bring their child to the toilet before class begins.
